Here, of course, we don't get the kind of snow you describe. Our temperatures are always fluctuating, from well below freezing up to shirt sleeve weather, then back again, often within a few days. Our poor plants don't know what to do, and, yes, premature blossoms often get nipped. I have never heard of watermelon snow, but i think it is disturbing; it looks like the aftermath of a murder!debsgardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15656883577922890561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7477356724245010902.post-48949850606973191562011-01-01T12:57:31.644-05:002011-01-01T12:57:31.644-05:00The watermelon snow is amazing and the frost flowe...The watermelon snow is amazing and the frost flowers were beautiful.lifeshighwayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14389824485602821605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7477356724245010902.post-33207682036973033762011-01-01T08:51:06.969-05:002011-01-01T08:51:06.969-05:00I had read your post a few days ago and my comment...I had read your post a few days ago and my comment did not post. The problem in the UK for plants is the constant snow/thaw/freeze cycle which does the damage.

Wishing you a Happy Christmas and look forward to more of your posts in 2011

LauraLaura Bloomsburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03163589497828975276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7477356724245010902.post-62602452549292179942010-12-22T09:33:47.273-05:002010-12-22T09:33:47.273-05:00great post... never heard of watermelon snow.
